A Taste of Connection, Collaboration, and Community
When we first imagined A Taste of WEBB, we hoped it would be more than an event — we hoped it would be an experience. What unfolded in August was exactly that. It was not simply a showcase of entrepreneurs; it was a taste of community — a celebration of what’s possible when people unite around a shared mission of equity, inclusion, and economic opportunity.
From the moment guests arrived, the room was alive with warmth and connection. Conversations flowed easily, laughter filled the air, and every entrepreneur stood proudly behind their craft — food, fashion, art, wellness, and innovation — offering more than products or services. They offered their stories, their courage, and their dreams.
To everyone who attended, thank you. Your presence and support meant the world to us and to our entrepreneurs. Many shared afterward how much they appreciated the exposure — meeting new clients, potential collaborators, and future champions of their work. You reminded them that what they create matters, and that relationships truly are the heart of business growth.
The evening was full of inspiration. When James Montague of F7 Development shared his journey — from humble beginnings to becoming a mission-driven developer — every entrepreneur in the room felt the spark of possibility. His story was a testament that success is not about luck, but about faith, perseverance, and service to others.
And April Storm Perry, our comedian for the evening, reminded us that even not knowing how to achieve a dream is part of the journey. Her honesty and humor allowed us to see ourselves in the uncertainty — and to laugh our way through it together.
Throughout the evening, there was a spirit that could be felt — the spirit of connection, collaboration, and collective uplift. This is what WEBB Squared is all about: creating spaces where entrepreneurs not only grow their businesses, but also grow in purpose, confidence, and community.
To all our sponsors, volunteers, board members, and every guest who gave, connected, and celebrated with us — thank you. Your support helps us continue building an ecosystem where Black and Brown entrepreneurs can thrive.
Together, we proved once again that we are always stronger together.
With deep gratitude and hope,
